As specialists in vehicle washing machines and truck washing equipment, Autowash Engineering, which is a family run business established in 1973 under the name of Melbros Electrical, has developed into the present day operation. The company originally designed, manufactured and installed electrical control panels providing automation of factory production lines. The key skill of automation control led to work within the carwash industry and soon became the core of the business where we eventually became specialists in the manufacture and maintainence of vehicle washing machines and truck washing equipment. This prompted the change of name in 1984 to Autowash Engineering Limited and since then we have excelled in the vehicle washing machine and truck washing equipment sector.

By 1984 the company was now firmly established in the manufature of vehicle washing machines and truck washing equipment, carwash and commercial vehicle washing machines. In time production of carwashes was abandoned to concentrate on larger commercial vehicle washing systems. We were the first company to standardise their brush wash machine to accomodate the new, taller 'Double Decker Trailers'.
